About The Artist

Keri Blair

Senior Artist Keri Blair grew up in a rural area of Maryland, just outside of Washington D.C. These days she resides in Brooklyn, NY, “at the epicentre of a diverse and creative community.” Her journey to the city is littered with memories of makeup. “When I was a kid my mom and I used to visit her sister in New Jersey, which was close to the Englishtown Market. I bought my first eye shadow there when I was nine.” Keri discovered M·A·C in 1993 and hasn’t looked back since.

“I first found out about M·A·C in a nail salon. These women were sitting around talking about a new makeup line at Nordstrom where the artists all wore black. The next day I headed over to see what all the fuss was about. That was when I fell in love with XTC Lipstick: a blend of silver, purple and brown hues. It was perfection!”

"Early in my career as a Senior Artist, I was going to assist Rafael Pita for the Oscar de la Renta show. I arrived at the showroom for the makeup test and there he was: Oscar himself fitting Karolina Kurkova! I remember standing there thinking ‘OMG how did I get here’! I was so overwhelmed; I really had to struggle to keep my composure. That was when I realized how lucky I am to have a career that has led me to those types of moments. It was pretty spectacular.”

“Living in New York where public transportation is paramount, I get a front row seat to how women approach their beauty rituals. It’s a great place to be a makeup voyeur. I see lots of M·A·C compacts and women in NYC wear a lot of mascara like Zoom Lash, Technakohl Liner in Graphblack and a natural lip shade like Twig.
